Bea, 6, decided yesterday that enough was enough. She was not a baby, anymore, and therefore did not need stupid baby training wheels. She was going to learn how to ride a bike!
Considering our two oldest learned how to ride a bike on overnights at their grandparents', my husband was quite pleased that we had one more child to usher through this right of passage. His methodology? Start the girl at the top of the hill and give her a little push. I'm just not sure he was counting on her being such a quick learner. In about ten minutes' time she went from a little girl with training wheels to a big girl who could do it (mostly) on her own. Behold:
Of course, Bea wouldn't be Bea if she didn't have to do it sans any adult assistance and then show off a little in the process. She even made up a little song . . .
And I'd be remiss if I didn't give this song a shout out:
I love the songs Bea makes up!
